How to restore an Instagram account (if you've forgotten your password)

How to restore an Instagram account, if you forget the password

It's a good idea to have a special mailbox (with its password being easy to remember so there is no way you're going to forget it) for registering in different social networks. Before you can register in Instagram, they ask you to link your account to Facebook or offer to send an email to you. Use the same email address to regain access to your account.

How to recover a password from an Instagram account:

1. Click on "Forgot password?" which is located next to a password.

2. Enter your email address or your Instagram name, enter a captcha and reset your forgotten password.

3. Having done that, go to your mailbox and open the email from Instagram technical support team, click on the link in the email and enter your new password.

After that you'll be able to use your Instagram account again.

Restoring an account via Facebook

If your Insta account is attached to your Facebook profile, you can simply go to your page via Facebook and you won't have to confirm anything.

Restoring an account via a phone number

If during the registration process you've entered a phone number and (which is most likely) you still have access to it, try restoring your page via sms.

It's very easy. You just need to specify your user name and phone number in the form for account restoring. After that, you get an SMS with the code which you have to enter in the appeared window.

How to restore an Instagram account without using an email address

If you've forgotten your email address and your account isn't linked to a Facebook profile, try changing the email address. But to do that you'll have to contact Instagram support team and report the loss of email address. Having done it, you'll be able to regain access to your page.

Is there a chance to restore an account after its deletion?

There are two Instagram functions: to completely delete a page and to temporarily block it.

If you are in doubt whether you'll ever need your account again, the best solution is to temporarily block it. Thus you'll always be able to restore it.

If you've completely deactivated your page, it's impossible to restore it.

How to restore an Instagram page, if you've accidentally disabled your account

Instagram administration has the right to block accounts, which use protected by copyright other people's photos and videos. Usually, they block an account for a week, if it's the first time, and then for a month. In the case of multiple blocking, an account will be deactivated permanently without the right of restoring it.

If you open your Instagram page and see that it was deactivated by mistake, try filling in a form with a request to restore it.

Instagram has two features: to completely delete your page and "Temporarily block" it.

If you are unsure if you will ever need your account again, the best solution is to temporarily block the page. In this case, you can always restore it.

If you've completely deactivated your page, there is no way to bring it back.
